Game Postponed

Tonight's game scheduled for 7pm at Arnie Allen Diamond against the Harwich Mariners has been postponed due to field conditions and has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Friday, July 25, at 3pm.

Art to be Auctioned

The Commodores are raising funds to build a new press box and renovate the dugouts at Arnie Allen Diamond.  One of the efforts involves working with the Falmouth Artists Guild.

Artists will create works with Commodore and baseball related themes that will be auctioned off with all of the proceeds donated to the building fund.  All of the works will be featured on our website as they become available.

Our Take

by Commodore Intern Holly Lynch

So maybe you’ve been to some of the Commodores’ games, you might have even seen Summer Catch a few times and you’ve heard all Freddie Prinze Jr. has to say about his time in the Cape Cod League Baseball, but I’m here to tell you the other side of the story.

As an intern for the Commodores I get the chance to see the game everyday from the point of view of someone who knows the players, the coaches, the field, and the fans. With my fellow intern, Kristen Lincoln, I’ve attended all of the home and most of the away games. Each time we’ve made a trip to one of the away games it’s been an adventure. So we’re here to tell you about  more...

Falmouth 5  Harwich 4

A.J. Pollock came up big in the 9th inning with a solo home run to left field to send the game into extra innings as Falmouth defeated Harwich 5-4 in 10 innings in front of 816 fans at Arnie Allen Diamond Wednesday night.

Falmouth found itself up in the 1st off of a Jimmy Cesario RBI single. Harwich took the lead in the fifth, but Falmouth tied it up after another Jimmy Cesario RBI single.  The Commodores took the lead in the 7th, but found themselves down by 1 after back-to-back home runs by Harwich.

A.J Pollock came to the plate in the 9th with two outs and blasted a shot over the left field wall that is yet to come down. Falmouth would score the eventual game winner in the 10th with a walk. This was Falmouth’s first extra innings win and coach Trundy’s 200th win.

Chris Gloor earned the start for Falmouth, going 4 and 2/3 innings, giving up two runs on five hits, no walks, and five K’s. Evan Danielli, Preston Claiborne, and Ben Tootle pitched in relief, with the win going to Tootle.  The three combined for six hits, one walk, eight K’s, and nine hits.  Jimmy Cesario went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI’s, while Joey Wong went 3 for 5 as well.

The Commodores will look to double up on Harwich tonight at 7 pm at Arnie Allen Diamond.
